Abstract
A conference ranking system could provide an assessment to qualities of major conferences in many disciplines. One of well-known assessment metrics is a CiteScore by Scopus. However, for example in the computer science, it could cover only about 180 from thousands of conferences across all subject categories, which is very limited in a practical usage. Therefore, this paper proposed a newly constructed CiteScore system lookalike, based on conference papers retrieved from Scopus. Those conference names must be processed through a deduplication step and CiteScore calculation. Based on the top 10 conferences of the CiteScore values, the correlation between the proposed system and the existing CiteScore system is approximately 0.978. While, based on the top 10% most cited conference papers of the computer science field in Scopus, the correlation is slightly dropped to 0.930, but is still very high. It also could be concluded to that the more number of conference papers could be retrieved, the higher correlation could be obtained.
