ผลสัมฤทธิ์ของการพัฒนาทัศนคติต่อวิชาชีพของนักศึกษากายอุปกรณ์ผ่านกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ของกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรที่จัดขึ้นจำเพาะสำหรับนักศึกษากายอุปกรณ์ คณะแพทย์ศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล เพื่อปลูกฝังและพัฒนาทัศนคติต่อวิชาชีพของนักศึกษากายอุปกรณ์ โดยกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรที่จัดขึ้นระหว่างปีการศึกษา 2553 ถึงปีการศึกษา 2556 คณะผู้วิจัยได้ทำการศึกษาข้อมูลย้อนหลังโดยทำการวิเคราะห์และเปรียบเทียบตัวชี้วัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ 2 ตัว คือ อัตราการคงอยู่ของนักศึกษาไทยจนสำเร็จการศึกษา และอัตราการทำงานด้านกายอุปกรณ์ของบัณฑิตไทย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ก่อนปีการศึกษา 2553 นักศึกษากายอุปกรณ์ชาวไทยมีอัตราการคงอยู่เฉลี่ยเพียงร้อยละ 71 แต่ภายหลังจากที่คณะผู้วิจัยได้จัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรตั้งแต่ปีการศึกษา 2553 เป็นต้นมา พบว่าอัตราการคงอยู่เฉลี่ยของนักศึกษาไทยเพิ่มขึ้นเป็นร้อยละ 83 และจากการศึกษาอัตราการทำงานด้านกายอุปกรณ์ของบัณฑิตไทยภายหลังสำเร็จการศึกษาพบว่าบัณฑิตรุ่นที่ 1 ถึง 5 ที่สำเร็จการศึกษาก่อนการจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร มีอัตราผู้ที่ทำงานด้านกายอุปกรณ์ร้อยละ 75 ส่วนบัณฑิตรุ่นที่ 6 ถึง 9 ซึ่งสำ เร็จการศึกษาในขณะที่โรงเรียนฯได้ดำเนินการจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร พบว่ามีอัตราผู้ทำงานด้านกายอุปกรณ์เพิ่มขึ้นเป็นร้อยละ 90 ซึ่งเป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงในทิศทางที่ดีขึ้นทั้งสองตัวชี้วัด ดังนั้นการจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรน่าจะมีส่วนช่วยให้นักศึกษาเกิดความตระหนักในความสำคัญของบทบาทของนักกายอุปกรณ์ส่งผลให้เกิดความรัก และภาคภูมิใจในวิชาชีพ และเลือกที่จะทำงานในสาขาวิชาชีพนี้ต่อไป

This study aimed to evaluate the outcome of extracurricular activities which had been specificallyconducted for the Prosthetics and Orthotics students, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. The activities facilitated students to comprehend in positive attitudes to the program and profession. Several extracurricular activities were organized through the academic year of 2010 to 2013. The authors conducted retrospective study to analyze two key of education indicators; a survival ratio of the remaining Thai students through four years until graduation and a transformation ratio of the graduates who chose to work as prosthetist and orthotist. The comparison was shown an increasing percentage from 71% of survival ratio in pre-initiating activities, early before the academic year 2010 become 83% in post-initiating activities since the academic year 2010. From the reviewed of a transformation ratio of Thai graduates who chose working as prosthetist and orthotist practitioners after graduated was presented 75% from students in the first to fifth batch, for the sixth to nine batch who were now studying in the program has been increased to 90%. From the data analysis of the two key indicators, it was presented an improvement of the trend. Subsequently, initiating the extracurricular activities to reflect professional values that contribute to peoples with a disability is very crucial. It also made the students realized the important roles of prosthetist and orthotist, created affection and proud of the profession then decided to work in this career.
