Title
Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of human serum in subclinical opisthorchiasis
The sera of 83 healthy adult Thais from Northeast Thailand were examined by acrylamide gel electrophoresis. Stool examinations and hematological parameters were also performed. No anemic person was found but 30 individuals with Opisthorchis viverrini showed a significant increase in the ceruloplasmin/hemopexin levels. Ten out of the infected individuals also showed an increase in the haptoglobin levels.
