dc.description.abstractThe present work aims to improve interaction between nitrile rubber (NBR) and carbon black (CB) using 2 functionalized liquid polybutadienes (Krasol LBH2000 and Ricon 130MA8) which differ mainly in functional groups and level of 1,2 vinyl content. Change in magnitude of NBR-CB interaction, and its effect on cure and viscoelastic behaviors of NBR compounds were investigated. The bound rubber (BR) content is increased by the use of Ricon 130MA8 while Krasol LBH2000 gives no significant change in the BR content. Curing retardation is resulted with increasing liquid PBs.en_US
