กลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ลีซอ อำเภอเวียงแหง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่

Abstract

ชาวลีซอเป็นชาวเขาเผ่าหนึ่ง ที่ตั้งถิ่นฐานบนเทือกเขาสูงทางภาคเหนือของประเทศไทย และกระจายกันอยู่ในหลายจังหวัด แต่จะพบชาวลีซออาศัยอยู่เป็นจำนวนมากที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่และเชียงราย ในหลายอำเภอ บทความนี้เสนอเรื่องราววิถีชีวิตของชาวลีซอที่อพยพเข้ามาตั้งถิ่นฐานที่อำเภอเวียงแหง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ซึ่งเป็นอำเภอชายแดนระหว่างประเทศไทยและประเทศสหภาพหม่า และยังเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์หลากหลายตั้งถิ่นฐานบ้านเรือนอยู่ร่วมกัน ในการดำเนินชีวิตของชาวลีซอในพื้นที่ดังกล่าว ชาวลีซอยังคงยึดถือประพฤติปฏิบัติตนตามขนบประเพณีที่สืบต่อกันมาจากบรรพบุรุษ อันเป็นอัตลักษณ์ของกลุ่ม ในขณะเดียวกัน ชาวลีซอก็มีการปรับเปลี่ยนวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตบางอย่าง รวมทั้งมีการสร้างปฏิสัมพันธ์กับกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์อื่น ทั้งด้านการค้าขายแลกเปลี่ยนสินค้า การนับถือศาสนาพุทธและศาสนาคริสต์ การศึกษาเล่าเรียนของเยาวชนลีซอ การเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆ ทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมของอำเภอเวียงแหงร่วมกับกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์อื่นๆ ด้วย

Lisu refers to an ethnic group of hill tribe people who inhabit the mountainous areas of northern Thailand. Although they are scattered in various provinces, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai are the most populated with the Lisu. This article analyzes ways of life of the Lisu who have settled in Wiang Haeng District in the province of Chiang Mai. Not only is Wiang Haeng a bordering district between Thailand and Myanmar, it is also inhabited with many ethnic groups of people. Living in a multiethnic locality like Wiang Haeng, the Lisu still adhere to the indigenous tradition which has been passed on for generations and which is their identity while forming a good relation with people of other ethnicities in terms of trade, Buddhism and Christianity, education, and social and cultural activities
