Title
Gastric emptying in acute uncomplicated falciparum malaria
Gastric emptying by paracetamol absorption test was performed in 22 patients with uncomplicated falciparum malaria. There was no significant difference in the time to reach the maximum plasma paracetamol concentration (T(max)) and the maximum plasma paracetamol concentration (C(max)) of the patients during acute illness and convalescence, We concluded that gastric emptying was not altered in acute uncomplicated falciparum malaria.
