แนวทางการจัดเตรียมเอกสารเพื่อขอรับการประเมินผลการสอนในชั้นต้น สำหรับสายวิชาการ ของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล

Abstract

ทักษะการสอน การวางแผนการสอน และการเรียบเรียงเอกสารการสอน เป็นขั้นตอนสำคัญที่คณาจารย์ถ่ายทอดความรู้ให้แก่นักศึกษา การสอนที่กีนอกจากจะส่งเสริมให้นักศึกษาได้รับความรู้เต็มประสิทธิภาพ และมีผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ตามเป้าหมายแล้ว ยังมีส่วนทำให้อาจารย์มีความก้าวหน้าในตำแหน่งทางวิชาการด้วย อย่างไรก็ตาม ในการขอกำหนดตำแหน่งทางวิชาการ ขั้นตอนการประเมินผลการสอนในชั้นต้นต้องมีการจัดเตรียมเอกสารจำนวนมาก ซึ่งมีระเบียบแบบแผนตามข้อกำหนดของมหาวิทยาลัยและคณะกรรมการข้าราชการพลเรือนในสถาบันอุดมศึกษา (ก.พ.อ.) อาจารย์หลายท่านอาจไม่ทราบรายละเอียดหรือความแตกต่างของเอกสารแต่ละประเภท ซึ่งอาจทำให้เกิดความล่าช้าในการขอกำหนดตำแหน่งได้ โดยทั่วไป การประเมินผลการสอนในชั้นต้นประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วน คือ การประเมินการสอน ซึ่งอาจารย์ต้องวางแผนการสอน แจกแผนการสอนและเอกสารต่าง ๆ ให้นักศึกษา และทำการสอนต่อหน้าอนุกรรมการผู้ประเมิน อีกส่วนคือการประเมินเอกสารการสอน ซึ่งชนิดของเอกสารขึ้นอยู่กับตำแหน่งทางวิชาการที่จะขอกำหนดตำแหน่ง บทความเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออธิบายรายละเอียดของการประเมินผลการสอนในชั้นต้น โดยเน้นประเด็นที่มักพบความผิดพลาด อีกทั้งวิเคราะห์และเสนอแนะแนวทางเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานของส่วนงาน (คณะหรือสถาบัน) เพื่อเป็นการสนับสนุนให้คณาจารย์ได้ตำแหน่งทางวิชาการโดยเร็วที่สุด

Teaching skill, lesson planning, and writing of teaching materials or handouts are crucial steps for transmitting knowledge to students. Excellent teaching practice not only fosters a successful learning of students, leading to the attainment of effective learning outcomes, but also helps academicians be promoted to a higher academic rank. However, in the procedure of academic promotion, an evaluation of teaching skill and process often requires a number of complicated documents with mandatory patterns complied with the rules of university and Office of the Higher Education Commission. The lack of understanding to intricate qualities of teaching process and materials might delay academic promotion. In general, the teaching evaluation process is composed of 2 steps, i.e., (i) evaluation of teaching skill, in which one needs to carefully plan for teaching, distribute all the lesson plans, materials and handouts, and perform teaching under inspection of a sub-committee, and (ii) evaluation of teaching materials, which are dependent on academic rank. The present article thus aims to elaborate the delicate details of teaching evaluation process based on frequently observed pitfalls. Finally, an in-depth analysis was also performed to provide better direction for effective management of the faculty or institute, thereby supporting faculty members to be rapidly promoted to a higher academic rank.
