dc.description.abstractWe modify a mathematical model of bone remodeling process to study the effect of time delay observed clinically in the process. We then utilize the Hopf bifurcation theorem to investigate the possibility of the occurrence of periodic behavior exhibited by our model. Numerical simulation is also carried out to support our theoretical results. Theoretical and numerical results indicate that the periodic behavior observed clinically in the pulsatile secretion of parathyroid hormone can be expected in our model.en_US
