ประสบการณ์ความทุกข์ของกลุ่มแรงงานข้ามชาติกับความไม่เป็นธรรมด้านสุขภาพ

Abstract

การศึกษานี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาความทุกข์และประสบการณ์ความเจ็บป่วยและการเข้าถึงบริการสุขภาพของแรงงานข้ามชาติในจังหวัดสมุทรสาคร โดยวิเคราะห์บนฐานคิดของปัจจัยสังคมกำหนดสุขภาพที่เชื่อมโยงกับแนวคิดความไม่เป็นธรรมด้านสุขภาพ ธีการศึกษา เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก และการสังเกต ผู้ให้ข้อมูลเป็นแรงงานข้ามชาติหลากหลายชาติพันธ์ และมีความเจ็บป่วย วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหาและกำหนดเป็นประเด็นข้อค้นพบ การศึกษาพบความทุกข์ด้านสุขภาพในหลายมิติ ได้แก่ ความทุกข์จากความเสี่ยงด้านสุขภาพจากการทำงาน ความทุกข์ต่อการถูกคาดหวังให้ป้องกันการแพร่เชื้อในสภาพแวดล้อมที่อยู่อาศัยที่จำกัด ความทุกข์ที่กลัวว่าจะเป็นที่รังเกียจ การถูกตีตราจากสังคมเมื่อเจ็บป่วย ความทุกข์กับรายได้ที่หายไปหรือกลัวถูกเลิกจ้างเมื่อเจ็บป่วย ความทุกข์จากการไม่ได้รับบริการด้านสุขภาพ การเข้าถึงระบบบริการสุขภาพและข้อมูลข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับสุขภาพ และความทุกข์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเยียวยาในความเจ็บป่วยระยะยาวและการฟื้นฟูสภาพ ผลการศึกษาวิเคราะห์ได้ว่าการเจ็บป่วยและความทุกข์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความเจ็บและการเข้าถึงระบบสุขภาพของแรงงานข้ามชาติ เกิดจากปัจจัยสังคมกำหนดสุขภาพ ซึ่งก็คือ โครงสร้างหรือเงื่อนไขทางสังคมที่ไม่เป็นธรรมที่แบ่งแยก กีดกัน ให้คนกลุ่มหนึ่งไม่ได้รับการคุ้มครองและเข้าไม่ถึงทรัพยากรที่จำเป็นในชีวิต

This study aims to explores the suffering of illness experiences and access to health care of migrant workers in Samut Sakhon Province. The analysis was based on the concept of social determinants of health linked to the concept of health equity. The study was applied a qualitative methodology through in-depth interviews and observations, the informants were multinational migrant workers with different illness. The data was analyzed by content analysis and formulated as findings.The study found several dimensions of health distress: suffering from occupational health risks; suffering from being expected to prevent transmission in a confined living environment; suffering for fear of being disgusted being stigmatized by society when sick; suffering with lost income or fear of being fired upon illness, suffering from lacking of accessing to health care services and health-related information and the suffering associated with healing in long-term illness and rehabilitation.The results of the study portrayed the causes of social determinants of health, that is, unfair social structures or conditions that divide, prevent a group of people from being protected and not accessing the necessary resources in life.
