Abstract
In order to regain normal functionality of stroke patients, an appropriate rehabilitation is needed. Normally, the remaining ability of patient?s brain and muscle can still be functional. Thus, patient can use electroencephalography (EEG) signal and electromyography (EMG) signal to control the rehabilitation device for upper and lower extremities via hybrid software as proposed in [1] , [2]. Although the objectives of previous works are achieved, there are certain problems found in practical usage of software and device. Therefore, this paper aims to develop rehabilitation device and software to make the system more appropriate and easy to use for real patients. The hardware is redesigned and enhanced by adding more supporters. For software development, the holding time function is added for an effective rehabilitation session. The proposed rehabilitation system in this paper follows normal physiology of human which starts by developing motor cortex, motor neuron, muscle fiber and muscle successively. The system has advantages to the development of stroke patient with the average accuracy of 75.6%.
