Abstract
The relative efficiency of vermiculite and HSCAS (Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicates) to bind aflatoxin B1 in the Black Tiger shrimp diet was tested using in-vivo and in-vitro procedures. Four treatments comprising nutritionally identical diets were as i) basal control diet free of the toxin and without a binder, ii) basal diet containing 1% vermiculite and 500 ppb aflatoxin B1, iii) basal diet containing 1% HSCAS and 500 ppb aflatoxin B1, iv) basal diet containing 500 ppb aflatoxin B1 but no binder. All of the diet formular contained 38 % of protein. The study showed that shrimps fed diet 2 and diet 3 had the growth rate, percentage of final survival, daily weight gain, final feed conversion ratio and final protein efficiency higher than the shrimps fed with diet 4, but lower than fed of diet 1, but not significantly (p > 0.05) in statistic analysis. It was additionally observed that the residual level of aflatoxin B1 in head plus shell was higher than in shrimp muscle. Therefore, it might be led to the conclusion that the use of mycotoxin-binding substances (vermiculite and HSCAS) can be beneficial in shrimp culture. It also had to noted that at the toxin-binding efficiency of the vermiculite is similar or nearly similar to that of the Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicates (HSCAS).
การศึกษาผลการใช้สารดูดซับสารอะฟลาทอกซินบี 1 ด้วยเวอร์มิคูไลท์ และ HSCAS (Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicates) ในอาหารผสมสาเร็จรูป 4 ชนิดคือ คือ ชนิดที่หนึ่ง เป็นอาหารชุดควบคุมปราศจากอะฟลาทอกซินบี 1 ชนิดที่สอง อาหารชุดควบคุมที่เสริมสารเวอร์มิคูไลท์ 1 เปอร์เซนต์ และผสมอะฟลาทอกซินบี1 500 ppb ชนิดที่สาม อาหารชุดควบคุม ที่เสริมสาร HSCAS จานวน 1 เปอร์เซนต์ และผสมอะฟลาทอกซินบี1 500 ppb และชนิดที่สี่ อาหารชุดควบคุมที่ผสมอะฟลาทอกซินบี 1 อาหารสาเร็จรูปทั้งสี่ชนิดจะถูกจัดการและควบคุมให้มีปริมาณโปรตีนที่ 38 เปอร์เซ็นต์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่ากุ้งที่ได้รับอาหารทดลองชนิดที่ 2 และ3 มีค่าอัตราการเจริญเติบโต อัตรารอด น้าหนักที่เพิ่มขึ้นเฉลี่ยต่อวัน อัตราการเปลี่ยนอาหารเป็นเนื้อ ประสิทธิภาพโปรตีนดีกว่าอาหารสูตรที่ 4 แต่มีค่าด้อยกว่ากุ้งที่ได้รับอาหารอาหารสูตรที่ 1 อย่างไม่มีนัยสาคัญทางสถิติ (p>0.05) การศึกษายังพบว่าปริมาณอะฟลาทอกซินบี 1 ที่ตกค้างในตัวกุ้ง ในส่วนหัวและเปลือกมีค่าสูงกว่าในส่วนของเนื้อ ดังนั้นการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นว่า สารเวอร์มิคูไลท์มีประสิทธิภาพในการดูดซับสารอะฟลาทอกซินบี 1 ได้เช่นเดียวกับสาร HSCAS
