ทัศนคติและความรู้เพศศึกษาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพฤติกรรมการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ของนักเรียนชายไทยในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร

Abstract

การตั้งครรภ์ในวัยรุ่นเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ของ ประเทศไทย การศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ศึกษาในวัยรุ่นหญิง มีการศึกษาในเพศชายน้อยมาก งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีเป้าหมาย เพื่อศึกษาทัศนคติและความรู้เพศศึกษาที่เกี่ยวข้อง กับการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ของนักเรียนชายวัยรุ่นในเขต กรุงเทพมหานคร กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนชาย มัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายหรืออาชีวศึกษาประกาศนียบัตร วิชาชีพในกรุงเทพมหานคร 1,459 คน ใช้แบบสอบถาม เกี่ยวกับทัศนคติ ความรู้เพศศึกษา และพฤติกรรม การมีเพศสัมพันธ์ วิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบ ระหว่างกลุ่ม ที่เคยและไม่เคยมีเพศสัมพันธ์โดยใช้ค่า Odd Ratio พบว่า ทัศนคติที่สัมพันธ์กับการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ ได้แก่ “การควบคุมตนเองไม่ให้มีเพศสัมพันธ์ในวัยเรียน ถือเป็นการให้เกียรติฝ่ายหญิงและครอบครัว” “เป็น ธรรมดาที่จะมีเพศสัมพันธ์กับกิ๊กแม้จะมีคนรักแล้ว” “ประสบการณ์เพศสัมพันธ์ทำให้รู้สึกเป็นที่ยอมรับของ เพื่อนมากขึ้น” “หากมีเพศสัมพันธ์โดยไม่ได้ป้องกัน เป็นความรับผิดชอบของฝ่ายหญิงที่ควรไปหาซื้อยา คุมกำเนิดฉุกเฉินมารับประทานในภายหลัง” “สมมติ มีบุตรในขณะนี้ ใครจะเป็นผู้เลี้ยงดูหลัก: บิดามารดา หรือญาติฝ่ายท่าน/ฝ่ายหญิง” ส่วนความรู้ที่สัมพันธ์ กับการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ ได้แก่ การช่วยตัวเอง และการ คุมกำเนิด โดยกลุ่มที่เคยมีเพศสัมพันธ์จะได้คะแนน น้อยกว่า แสดงให้เห็นว่า ค่านิยมเกี่ยวกับเพศวิถียัง เป็นปัญหาที่ส่งผลต่อการตั้งครรภ์วัยรุ่น และความรู้ เพศศึกษาเป็นปัจจัยป้องกันพฤติกรรมเสี่ยงทางเพศ

Teenage pregnancy is a serious problem in Thailand. Most related studies have been conducted among female adolescents and few among males. Therefore, this work aimed to study the attitudes and sex education associated with sexual experience among Thai male students in Bangkok. The participants (n = 1,459) included Thai male high school and vocational school students in Bangkok. Self-administered questionnaires about attitudes, sex education and sexual experience were used and then data was compared between students who had sexual experience and those hadn’t using odds ratio. It was revealed that the attitudes associated with sexual experience included, “Boys should have self-control not to have sex at school age to give honor to the girl and their families”, “It is normal to have sex with other girls even though you have a girlfriend”, “Sexual experience make you feel more acceptable with your friends”, “It is the girl’s responsibility to take emergency contraceptive pills after having sex without contraception” and “If you have a baby now, who will be the caregivers, your parents/ relatives or the girl´s parents/relatives?”. Meanwhile, sex education associated with sexual experience involved masturbation and contraceptive methods. Students with sexual experience received lower scores compared with participants who never had sex. This work showed that social values about sex constitute a problem that impacts teenage pregnancy. In addition, sex education is a protective factor for risky sexual behavior.
