ความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชนและการรับรู้สภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมละแวกบ้านของผู้สูงอายุไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนแออัด เขตกรุงเทพมหานคร

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชนและ การรับรู้สภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมละแวกบ้านของผู้สูงอายุไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนแออัด 2) ศึกษาความ สัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชนและการรับรู้สภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมละแวกบ้านของ ผู้สูงอายุไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนแออัด และ 3) เปรียบเทียบความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชน ของผู้สูงอายุตามเพศ และจำนวนปีที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชน การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้ข้อมูลทุติยภูมิบางส่วน ของงานวิจัยเรื่อง “ปัจจัยทำนายกิจกรรมทางกายของผู้สูงอายุที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนแออัด เขตเมือง” ของผจงจิต ไกรถาวรและคณะ ในปี พ.ศ. 2554 กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ผู้สูงอายุ 258 รายที่อาศัยอยู่ใน ชุมชนแออัด เขตกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 6 ชุมชน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ แบบเพียร์สัน Independent t-test และ Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ร้อยละ 69 ของกลุ่มตัวอย่างมีความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชนในระดับสูง และร้อยละ 79.5 มีความพึงพอใจ เกี่ยวกับสิ่งแวดล้อมละแวกบ้านในระดับปานกลาง ความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชนมีความสัมพันธ์ ทางบวกกับการรับรู้สภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมละแวกบ้านอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ และพบว่าจำนวนปีที่ อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนมีผลต่อความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชนของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง ในขณะที่เพศไม่มี ผลต่อความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชน จากผลการศึกษาเสนอแนะว่า การปรับปรุงสิ่งแวดล้อม ละแวกบ้านให้น่าอยู่ และจัดให้มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกในชุมชน รวมทั้งให้ความสำคัญต่อบุคคลที่ อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนเป็นเวลานาน มีส่วนส่งเสริมให้เกิดความรู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุมชน

This study aimed to 1) explore a sense of community belonging and the neighborhood environment and facilities perception of older Thais living in low socioeconomic communities, 2) explore the relationship between a sense of community belonging and the neighborhood environment and facilities perception in older Thais living in low socioeconomic communities, and 3) compare a senses of community belonging of older Thais living in poor communities according to gender and the years of living in the community. Secondary analyses from a part of big project title “Factors predicting physical activity among older Thais living in low socioeconomic urban communities” belonged to Kraithaworn and colleagues in 2011 were used. The sample consisted of 258 older Thais recruited from 6 low socioeconomic communities in Bangkok Metropolitan. Data was analyzed using Pearson’s correlation, Independent t-test, and Analysis of variance. The results demonstrated that 69% of subjects perceived a high sense of community belonging and 79.5% perceived moderate satisfaction in the neighborhood environment and facilities. Pearson’s correlation analyses indicated that a sense of community belonging was positive significantly associated with perceived neighborhood environment and facilities. The subjects with different in years of living in the community had significant differences in a sense of community belonging, while no significant differences in a sense of community belonging between male and female. The results suggested that good environment and facilities in community should be provided and persons living in community for a long time should be acknowledged in order to promote a sense of community belonging.
