dc.description.abstractWe propose a mathematical model to describe the mechanism of bone formation and resorption based on the effects of parathyroid hormone and prolactin. The singular perturbation technique is then applied to analyze our model. We derived the explicit conditions on the system parameters which detect limit cycle behavior which mimics the oscillatory behavior observed in the clinical data. Finally, numerical investigation is carried out to support our theoretical analysis.en_US
