First Asia-Pacific winter conference on plasma spectrochemistry, Chiang Mai, Thailand, April 25-30, 2005
Various issues regarding plasma spectrochemistry in the Asia-Pacific region were addressed at the 1st Asia-Pacific region Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry held on April 25-30, 2005 in Chaing Mai, Thailand. Some of the topics discussed included sample introduction and transport phenomena; elemental speciation; and plasma source atomic/mass spectrometry. The leading scientists offered eighteen pre-conference short courses on plasma spectrochemistry. A second meeting on plasma spectrochemistry is planned in two years, for which the venue will be Bangkok, Thailand, in December 2006.
