dc.description.abstractA 130 kDa mosquito-larvicidai delta-endotoxin gene of S. thuringiensis var. israelensis (B.t.i.) was identified as previously described (1). The complete nucleotide sequence of the gene is presented below. It encodes a protein of 1136 amino acids with a calculated molecular weight of 127, 863 Da. The protein shows little amino acid homology to a 130 kDa endotoxin of Bm thuringiensis subsp. kurataki (2), but ita C-terrainal region (underlined) is almost identical to another 130 kDa delta-endotoxin of B.t.i.
