The mean serum IgG, IgA, and IgM were estimated in 97 pregnant women and 21 postpartums. In pregnancy, the serum IgG is lower while the serum IgA and IgM are higher than the normal value and return to the normal level in the postpartum period. The role of pregnancy in influencing the concentration of Igs is discussed.
