dc.description.abstract© 2015 IEEE. In this paper, theoretical analysis on the downlink spectral efficiency of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in Nakagami fading is introduced. Thanks to our accurate analytical technique, a closed-form expression of NOMA is proposed. With the closed form, the exact average of the spectral efficiency can be achieved at different user power allocations and channel conditions. Furthermore, the findings of this work can be extended to compute the spectral efficiency of orthogonal multiple access (OMA) such as orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) in Nakagami fading.en_US
