Abstract

The scientific output of major institutions in Thailand was examined from the number of international publications covered by Science Citation Index (SCI), publications in Journal of the Science Society of Thailand (J. Sci. Soc. Thailand) and abstracts presented at the annual symposium of the Science Society of Thailand. A good correlation (r=0.92) was observed between the number of publications covered by SCI and in Journal of the Science Society of Thailand, while a poorer correlation (r=0.73) was observed between the former and the number of symposium abstracts. © 1986 Akadémiai Kiadó.
