การเฝ้าระวังพฤติกรรมทางเพศที่สัมพันธ์กับการติดเชื้อเอชไอวี ในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร ปี 2549

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มี วัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจพฤติกรรมทางเพศที่สัมพันธ์ต่อการติดเชื้อเอชไอวีของกลุ่มประชากรที่เฝ้าระวัง และเพื่อทราบแนวโน้มการเปลี่ยนแปลงของพฤติกรรมที่สัมพันธ์กับการติดเชื้อเอชไอวี 5 ปีที่ผ่านมาของกลุ่มประชากรที่เฝ้าระวังผลการศึกษานี้จะทำให้เห็นรูปแบบของพฤติกรรมทางเพศที่สัมพันธ์กับการติดเชื้อเอชไอวี ในกลุ่มประชากรที่มีความเปราะบางต่อการติดเชื้อค่อนข้างน้อยและนำไปใช้เป็นข้อมูลในการกำหนดมาตรการในการดำเนินการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาเอดส์ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานครต่อไป ประชากรกลุ่มเป้าหมายในการศึกษาครั้งนี้มีทั้งสิ้น 4 กลุ่มด้วยกันคือ กลุ่มนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 กลุ่มนักเรียนชั้นอาชีวศึกษาปวช.ปีที่ 2 กลุ่มพนักงานในสถานประกอบการและกลุ่มประชาชนทั่วไปซึ่งได้ทำการสำรวจในช่วงเดือนมกราคม-มิถนายน 2549 สำหรับเครื่องมือในการวิจัย ได้ปรับปรุงรูปแบบการตอบแบบสอบถาม จากผลการศึกษาพบว่ากลุ่มนักเรียน กลุ่มพนักงานในสถานประกอบการ และกลุ่มประชาชนทั่วไปยังคงมีพฤติกรรมที่เสี่ยงต่อการติดเชื้อเอชไอวีสูง จะเห็นได้จากอัตราการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยที่ยังต่ำและไม่สม่ำเสมอ และกลุ่มนักเรียนจะใช้ถุงยางอนามัยเพียงเพื่อป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์เท่านั้น จากการตอบแบบสอบถามด้วยกระดาษ (paper-based survey) แต่ด้วยข้อจำกัดในการเข้าถึงระบบออนไลน์ทางอินเตอร์เน็ตของกลุ่มเป้าหมายบางกลุ่มจึงสามารถให้เฉพาะกลุ่มนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 และนักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 2 ตอบแบบสอบถามในระบบเดิม(paper-based survey) สิ่งสำคัญที่ต้องคำนึงในการทำผลการไปใช้ โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มนักเรียนที่มีแนวโน้มว่ามีประสบการณ์น้อยลง เนื่องจากในการสำรวจรอบนี้ได้สำรวจเร็วกว่าในรอบปีอื่นๆ เป็นเวลา 6 เดือน ส่วนในกลุ่มพนักงานในสถานประกอบการ ได้ขยายอายุจาก 15-29 ปี เป็น 15-49 ปี

This study aimed at surveying sexual behavior related to HIV/AIDS for the HIV/AIDS watch population and to project HIV/AIDS risk behavior over the past 5 years. This study will provide a clearer understanding of HIV-related behavior in low-risk populations and will be useful for establishing prevention measures and reduction of the number of new cases of HIV/AIDS in Bangkok. The study targeted four groups: 5th -Year Matthayom Students (11th Graders), 2nd-Year Vocational students, industrial workers and general population. Data was collected during January and June 2006. Analysis of the survey instrument in this study was improved over previous studies. The study found that all four groups continue to have high-risk behaviors, marked by pervasively low and inconsistent use of condoms and the motivation for condom use among students primarily to prevent pregnancy. Supplementing the paper-based survey in this study was also a web-based survey. However students responded to the web survey whereas the industrial workers and general population responded exclusively on the paper-based survey. This study was signficantly shorter in time frame than previous studies (only 6 months) in which the data was gathered and analyzed. This was in spite of the fact that the age limit for industrial worker respondents was increased from 15-29 years old to 15-49 years old.
