A financial decision support system for operation of medium scale industry

Abstract

The success of an operation in any business will depend on careful and good planning, including knowledge, capability, and experience of the management. Most important of all are up-to-date and accurate information, efficient processing and analytical process. This process may provide information to the management for use in connection with decision-making in a timely manner. This will create business opportunity and competitiveness. This research is aimed at developing a financial decision support system for operation of medium scale industry by application of computer technology. The emphasis is made in relation to the allocation of financial resources and use of technology to ensure maximized benefit and efficiency. The targeted users include project managers, finance directors, and other relevant personnel. Users may use the system to analyze data and apply the results from such analysis as the basis for financial planning and making operation decisions in a project.
