| dc.description.abstract | In order to provide the best medical treatment and care to patients, it is necessary not only for each profession to demonstrate its superior professional ability, but also for interprofessional collaboration to be practiced. Similarly, interprofessional collaboration is also essential when providing support to disaster victims. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors of interprofessional collaboration related to medical teams working in the disaster response phase. A cross-sectional study was used, and the scale utilized was the AITCS-II-J. The results showed statistical significance in two factors. As a result, the study identified trends related to Interprofessional collaboration for teams dispatched to such disaster areas. If more disaster relief organizations contribute to this kind of study, it can be expected to see a generalization of factors related to IPC for teams with similar conditions, which would be better for both recipients and relief workers, and in order to enhance disaster resilience and effective and efficient recovery. IMPLICATION OF THE THEMATIC PAPER. In this study, it was identified that the maturity of Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) is important in providing team-based medical care in the response phase of disasters. In addition, the study revealed important factors in IPC for disaster medical teams. These findings can be applied in designing training for the preparatory phase before the deployment of teams in a disaster area. It will also be useful to incorporate these factors in designing the composition of teams, team-building methods, activity systems, and activity support systems in order to provide effective medical services in disaster-affected areas. | |
