| dc.description.abstract | Humanistic psychology, which emerged in the United States in the 1960s, focuses on studying human values and personality development. It looks at human nature positively and believes that individuals pursue self-realization, self-development, and self-improvement. The concentrated expression of humanistic psychology in education is psychology that studies the nature, experience, and value of the whole person based on being people-oriented. In the late 1970s and 1980s, language teaching experts and researchers began to explore how to infiltrate emotional development into language teaching. With the development of humanism in education, people pay more and more attention to the value and dignity of students as a "person," emphasizing respect and love for students. The essence of education is to cultivate people and help individuals achieve self-development. Therefore, humanistic psychology is quite enlightening to education, especially school education. Sino-foreign school-running is a form of school-running under the current trend of internationalization of educational exchanges. More and more foreign teachers and local students can conduct cultural exchanges and ideological collisions through this channel. The connection between foreign teachers and students will gradually tighten. Under such a social background, the teacher-student relationship will have different manifestations and development, and some new problems will also arise. After consulting a large number of relevant literatures, analyzing the relevant theories of other scholars, and then through relevant interviews and surveys, this paper draws the current situation of the teacher-student relationship between foreign teachers and local students in public universities from the two aspects of foreign teachers and college students. It finds out the problems existing in the relationship between teachers and students, analyzes the relevant factors that affect the relationship between teachers and students, explores the influence of teachers' attitudes on the relationship between teachers and students, and analyzes the ways and methods to establish a positive relationship between teachers and students. Implication of the thesis: The quality of the relationship between teachers and students in colleges and universities has become an essential factor in whether university education and teaching activities can be carried out smoothly and achieve better results. Humanistic educational thought has important guiding significance for establishing a harmonious teacher-student relationship in contemporary universities. Humanistic educational thought provides many inspirations for cultivating teachers' humanism. Cultivating humanistic teachers is very important to change the education model, and humanistic education can start with teachers. | en |
