This research aimed to study how motherhood impacted the researcher's transformation and to review contemplative education approach which focused on mindfulness of self-inquiry. The First Person Research paradigm methodology which employed autobiographical research and narrative inquiry was used. The researcher used I dialogue as the narrator throughout. From this study, the researcher found that her standpoint of being a mother originated from her standpoint of being a suffering child in the past. The process of this mindful investigation led to her acquiring of a new understanding of her childhood in the past and a new understanding of being a mom at present. It also transformed her perspective from strong egoism to faith in living life congruently, both internally and among relationships with others. She also discovered self-worth. In the contemplative education approach, the researcher used mindfulness as a fundamental process. Mindfulness encouraged her to perceive those experiences firmly, not shaken by any positive or negative sensations. This brought in a non-intellectually developed wisdom. It was wisdom developed from the knowing and the deep meaning of awareness. So, the result from this research was a new comprehensive understanding on the basis of minimizing exaggerated egoism, hence establishing faith in living life with trust.
