Abstract
New Normal lifestyle affects people changing their behavior to take care of their health, both physically and mentally. They also take care of their pets like family members. Some pets got sick or needed more ingredients. People would like to see them get better or more healthy. The aim of this research is to study dog owners' preferences for special dog food ingredients that dog owners can design their own mixes and the feasibility of the product in terms of the dog owner’s purchase decision. The researcher will use the results of this research to develop ready-made dog food. Design dog food mixes and produce dog food to best meet the needs of each dog. A custom-formulated dog food will provide your dog with all the nutrients they need and without the side effects of any specific ingredient allergies. The sample group used in the research from December 2022 to January 2023 was 414 dog owners in Thailand. The data were collected using questionnaires. Only 399 respondents passed qualifying questions. They had to be dog owners who were over 18 years old, lived in Thailand, and had bought dog food more than 100 baht per time in the past year. The information obtained will be used to design and develop a ready-made dog food with ingredients that the owners of each dog breed need or do not need. In addition to the successful formula of dog food and the demand for custom-designed dog food, we also analyze questionnaires into packaging design, distribution channels, communication channels, and promotions. Implication of the thematic paper: The following are suggestions for further research: 1) The new dog food should be designed specifically for each allergy or congenital disease of each species and to survey deep problems. 2) For further studies, demand for specific canine disease-specific formulations should be evaluated in order to assess market demand and plan the first product to market.
