Two species of the genus, V. satunensis Jeenthong, Jaitrong & Tasen, 2023 and V. sirindhornae Jeenthong, Samung & Jaitrong, sp. nov. are known in Thailand. Vombisidris satunensis inhabits lowland habitats (ca. 100–200 m a.s.l.), while V. sirindhornae is found in highland habitats (1,000 m a.s.l.). Both species were found nesting in dead twigs on trees at forest edges.
