| dc.description.abstract | Objective: Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is one of the most common syndromes in musculoskeletal patients. Kujala Patellofemoral Questionnaire is an evaluation instrument for patients with PFPS. However, this questionnaire has not yet been cross-culturally adapted to Thai. The aim of this study was to cross-culturally adapt the Kujala Patellofemoral Questionnaire into Thai and to conduct its validity. Material and Method: The Kujala Patellofemoral Questionnaire was first translated and crossculturally adapted from English to Thai. Then the translated version was synthesized and concluded. Back translation was committed and its approval was warranted before the final version of the Thai version of Kujala Patellofemoral Questionnaire was released. The content validity was conducted with the acceptable level of non-comprehension up to 10% of the subjects. Results: Forty subjects (20 physical therapists and 20 knee pain patients) were enrolled to this study for content validity test of the Thai version of Kujala Patellofemoral Questionnaire. There was a question of the Thai version of such questionnaire which was not well comprehensible by the knee pain patients. Total of four questions were not comprehensible according to the criteria of non-comprehension acceptance level. The researchers then further gathered all comments for revision. Therefore, the final version of the Thai version of Kujala Patellofemoral Questionnaire was then successfully developed with the process of cross-cultural adaptation and content validation. Conclusion: The Thai version of Kujala Patellofemoral Questionnaire was cross-culturally adapted and validated for its content according to the non-comprehension criteria. This questionnaire is now available for Thai physical therapists in evaluating Thai knee pain patients. | en_US |
