แนวทางการใช้หลักพุทธธรรมเพื่อเสริมสร้างทัศนคติที่มีต่อวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีวิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed Methods) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการใช้หลักพุทธธรรมเสริมสร้างทัศนคติและปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อทัศนคติของวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาและข้อเสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี วิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล โดยมี 2 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ ใช้ประชากรจำนวน 191 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถาม ส่วนขั้นตอนที่ 2 การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยเชิญผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิมีคุณสมบัติตามเกณฑ์การคัดเลือกเข้าร่วมสนทนากลุ่มจำนวน 8 ท่าน ผลการวิจัย พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนมากมีความรู้ดีมีทัศนคติที่ดีต่อการประพฤติและการปฏิบัติตนตามหลักธรรมคำสั่งสอนทางพระพุทธศาสนา โดยยังมีความรู้สึกและเชื่อมั่นในความศรัทธาว่าศาสนาเป็นของสูง เป็นสิ่งที่ดีงามเป็นเครื่องยึดเหนี่ยวทางจิตใจ ช่วยให้ผู้ประพฤติและปฏิบัติหลุดพ้นจากความทุกข์ของตนได้ และพฤติกรรมในการเข้าวัดฟังธรรมหรือการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ในวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาของนักศึกษายังมีไม่มากนักส่วนการเสวนากลุ่มได้ข้อสรุปว่าควรใช้หลักพุทธธรรม คือ ไตรสิกขา อิทธิบาท 4 และ อริยสัจ 4 เป็นแนวทางเสริมสร้างให้นักศึกษาเข้าใจในการดำเนินชีวิตได้ถูกต้องและองค์กรต่าง ๆ ควรมีการส่งเสริมการจัดกิจกรรมในวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาให้เป็นที่เร้าใจแก่ผู้เข้าชมเพื่อกระตุ้นให้เกิดความอยากรู้เรื่องราวในพระพุทธศาสนาเห็นความสำคัญที่ควรปฏิบัติตนในฐานะเป็นพุทธศาสนิกชนที่เป็นผู้มีคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของสังคม ข้อเสนอแนะในการวิจัยพบว่า ควรแสดงให้สังคมและทุกองค์ประกอบของสังคมได้ตระหนักถึงความคิดและทัศนคติของเยาวชน นักศึกษาที่มีต่อหลักธรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนาแล้วนาเอาไปพัฒนาส่งเสริมให้เกิดทัศนคติที่ดีให้มาก

This study was a mixed methods research to study the guidelines for applying Buddhist principles to promote attitude and factors affecting the attitude and provide recommendations for the ways to promote the participation in activities on important Buddhist days in undergraduate students at College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University. For the quantitative phase, 191 students were recruited as the research sample, and data were collected using questionnaires. For the qualitative phase 8 qualified experts who met inclusion criteria were invited to join the group discussion. The results of this study showed that most students had a good knowledge and a good attitude towards behavior and practice in accordance with the Buddhism teachings; moreover, they felt confident and believed that religion was respectful and a good spiritual anchor to help people behave well and help people get out of their sufferings. As for the behavior related to going to the temple, listening to Dharma and attending various activities on the important Buddhist days, the students rarely did them as much as they should. From the group discussion, it was concluded that the principles of Buddhism should be used; namely Trisikkha, Iddhipada 4, and the Four Noble Truths, as the guidelines for students to fully understand the correct way of life, and other organizations should promote the activities on important Buddhist days which would be the inspiration to the visitors to stimulate the curiosity in Buddhism and also see the importance of Buddha teaching. The recommendations of this study were that society and all the aspects of the society realize the thought and attitude of young people and students towards the principles of Buddhism and then apply appropriate and effective methods to develop and promote a better attitude among them.
