ความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพเพื่อการป้องกันและควบคุมโรคชิคุนกุนยาและไข้เลือดออกในประชาชนพื้นที่อำเภอบ้านแหลม จังหวัดเพชรบุรี

Abstract

โรคชิคุนกุนยาและโรคไข้เลือดออก เป็นปัญหาอันดับต้นของโรคที่มียุงเป็นพาหะนำโรคของประเทศไทย ความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพจึงเป็นทักษะสำคัญสำหรับการควบคุมป้องกันการเกิดโรค การศึกษาภาคตัดขวางนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการป้องกันโรค การเก็บข้อมูลใช้แบบสอบถามโดยการสัมภาษณ์จากประชาชนอายุ 20 ปี ขึ้นไปในอำเภอบ้านแหลม จังหวัดเพชรบุรี จำนวน 316 คน โดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนาและการทดสอบความสัมพันธ์ด้วยสถิติไคสแควร์ กำหนดระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่น้อยกว่า 0.05 ผลการศึกษาพบว่าประชาชนมากกว่าร้อยละ 90 มีระดับความรอบรู้สุขภาพอยู่ในเกณฑ์ที่เพียงพอ ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพเพื่อการป้องกันและควบคุมโรคชิคุนกุนยาและไข้เลือดออก ได้แก่ เพศ สถานภาพโสด หรือหย่าร้าง จำนวนสมาชิกในครอบครัว การมีบทบาทในชุมชน โรคประจำตัว ประวัติการเจ็บป่วย และลักษณะที่อยู่อาศัย (p < 0.05) การนำผลของสารนิพนธ์ไปใช้: หน่วยงานสาธารณสุขในพื้นที่ควรมีการรณรงค์เกี่ยวกับช่องทางการเข้าถึงข้อมูลข่าวสาร และจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมสุขภาพของประชาชนในพื้นที่ มีแนวทางการป้องกันการเกิดโรคโดยส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนในพื้นที่มีส่วนร่วมในการดูแลสภาพแวดล้อมบริเวณครัวเรือน ชุมชน เพื่อป้องกันการเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคชิคุนกุนยาและโรคไข้เลือดออก

Dengue fever and chikungunya transmitted by Aedes aegypti rank as the most common vector-borne diseases worldwide, including Thailand. Health literacy is a key skill for preventing and controlling these diseases. This cross-sectional study aims to identify factors associated with health literacy for preventing dengue and chikungunya. A total of 316 adults living in Ban Laem district, Phetchaburi province, aged at least 20 years old, were interviewed with a structured questionnaire. The statistical methods include descriptive statistics and Chi-square for association tests. The level of statistical significance was set at less than 0.05. The results revealed that almost 90% of respondents have an adequate level of health literacy. Factors associated with health literacy in the prevention and control of chikungunya and dengue fever were gender, being single or divorced, number of family members, role in the community, congenital disease, history of illness, and housing characteristics (p < 0.05). IMPLICATION OF THE THEMATIC PAPER: Public health agencies should campaign on channels for accessing information and organize health promotion activities for people in the area. There are guidelines for disease prevention by encouraging people in the area to take part in caring for the environment around the household and community to prevent illnesses from chikungunya and dengue fever.
