The Totally Asymmetric Exclusion Process (TASEP), a well-known model in stochastic particle systems, has gained popularity in transportation research due to its ability to capture insights into individual interactions. In our study, we adapted the TASEP to model traffic flow, incorporating modified rates based on driver behaviour. This model allows us to examine not only the microscopic dynamics and interactions of individual vehicles but also the macroscopic behaviour of traffic through mean-field analysis. The results obtained from Monte Carlo simulations of the model align with the traffic datasets from Bangkok and Manchester, providing evidence that the model accurately captures driver behaviour in both light and heavy traffic scenarios.
