Abstract
Over the past decade, Japanese food in Thailand has gained its popularity and never stopped growing, whether the economy is good or bad. With the current generation of people who always works nine-to-five every day, spending time sitting and waiting for the chef to cook their order in a normal Japanese restaurant might not fit with their schedule anymore. This makes people seek for a Japanese restaurant that they can grab, eat, and feel enjoyable with fresh ingredients. Sushi Paradise is a low-price sushi restaurant company that aims to locate the restaurant in the suburban area of Bangkok by offering ready to eat sushi that serves delicious, fresh ingredients, variety of topping and menu in large quantity at an affordable price. The main concept of this restaurant is to let customers choose the sushi by themselves while the sushi makers mold the sushi in front of them. The main target audience are B2C customers who are students and office workers with the age between 18 to 60 years old that love to eat sushi and seek for foods that are affordable, large quantity and ready to eat, and offer various menus. The overall objective of this study is to get a general idea and market insight of the customer's perception towards low price sushi restaurants that are located in the suburban area of Bangkok. In addition, it also aims to identify customer and marketing preferences for designing the business and marketing strategy (7Ps) for a sushi restaurant. Hence, the result of this study will help us design the menus preference, location preference, price preference, taste preference, restaurant outer look in accordance with the demand of customers. The investment cost for this business is 1,500,000 Baht. The source of the fund will be 100% based on the owner with no debt. Since, the expected growth of this business is 5% per year. The forecast revenue of this business is approximately at 1,080,000 baht per month. On average, each day the business is expected to get 180 orders from the customer with the purchasing amount of 200 baht per bill, so in total the restaurant is projected to get at least 36,000 baht per day. Therefore, the projected revenue of the business for the first year is 13,140,000 baht. The NPV is 9,845,857.51 baht with the IRR of 191.88%. The payback period is very fast, 7.08 month. Therefore, this business is worth investing.
