Abstract
In the form of jazz duet performance, both musicians have to perform their skill and make mutual understanding. Larry Koonse is talented guitarist who launched many performances. Including duet albums with Warne Marsh, who is a tenor saxophonist? FINAL INTERPLAY Album showed the outstanding skill of both musicians in terms of improvisation and accompaniment. This study aimed to analyze the improvisation and accompaniment in the duet performance focused on musical language in terms of single note playing and voicing. Four (4) songs consisted of (1) What Is This Thing Called Love, (2) After You've Gone, (3) You Stepped Out of A Dream, and (4) Body And Soul were chosen for this analysis. The result from the study and analysis would be applied to the jazz guitar master recital. The result found the outstanding jazz language in the part of single note which are (1) Major 7 chord Change Running, (2) Enclosure, (3) 5-3-2-1digital pattern, and (4) Tension and Resolution. In addition, in the part of voicing, it found Harmonic Motion. The master recital was in the form of jazz duet. It consisted of guitar and tenor saxophone and both instruments could synchronize well. Feedback from the audience was well received.
การแสดงดนตรีบรรเลงเพลงแจ๊สในรูปแบบการบรรเลงคู่ต้องใช้ทักษะและความเข้าใจระหว่างผู้บรรเลงเป็นหลัก Larry Koonse เป็นนักกีตาร์มากความสามารถ มีผลงานการแสดงออกมามากมาย ผลงานส่วนหนึ่งเป็นงานบรรเลงคู่ร่วมกับ Warne Marsh นักเทเนอร์แซกโซโฟน ผลงานบรรเลงคู่อัลบั้ม Final Interplay สะท้อนให้เห็นทักษะอันโดดเด่น ทั้งในแง่ของผู้บรรเลงดีตปฏิภาณ และแนวทางการบรรเลงคู่ การศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาวิเคราะห์เทคนิคการเล่นดีตปฏิภาณ และแนวทางการบรรเลงคู่ โดยมุ่งเน้นไปที่ลักษณะภาษาทางดนตรีในการเล่นซิงเกิลโน้ตและแนวทำนองเสียงประสาน โดยบทเพลงที่นำมาศึกษาวิเคราะห์ ได้แก่ (1) What Is This Thing Called Love, (2) After You've Gone, (3) You Stepped Out of A Dream, และ (4) Body And soul ความรู้ที่ได้จากการศึกษาวิเคราะห์บทเพลง ได้ถูกนำไปใช้ในการตรียมตัวแสดงเดี่ยวระดับปริญญาโทในครั้งนี้ ผลการศึกษาพบองค์ประกอบทางสำเนียงภาษาดนตรีแจ๊สที่โดดเด่นในแง่ของซิงเกิ้ลโน้ต ได้แก่ (1) Major 7 chord Change Running, (2) Enclosure, (3) 5-3-2- 1 Digital Pattern Tension and Resolution และแง่ของแนวทำนองเสียงประสานพบ Harmonic Motion การแสดงเดี่ยวระดับปริญญาโทนี้มีรูปแบบวงเป็น Duet ประกอบด้วยเครื่องมือกีตาร์และเทเนอร์แซกโซโฟน ผลการแสดงปรากฎว่า เครื่องมือทั้งสองชิ้นสามารถเล่นได้อย่างประสาน กลมกลืนกัน และได้รับการตอบรับจากผู้ชมเป็นอย่างดี
