We present an assistive learning tool to drive the mathematical instruction for students with visual impairment; Aim-Math. Instructionaldriven features and assistive features were designed to help the students understand a concept and ease the learning process. Aim-Math is an audiobased system that helps students with visual impairment learn exponents. In order to evaluate the overall understanding and satisfaction, participants were students with visual impairment in a secondary school level. We employed pretest, intervention, and post-test design. The mean of students' post-test scores was significantly higher than those pre-test scores which indicates that Aim- Math could enhance the students' understanding of exponents. Moreover, the students were satisfied with the use of Aim-Math. In addition, practitioners, teachers, and other educators can simply apply the design of the instructionaldriven system and assistive features for students with visual impairment in other desirable concepts.
