การปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมของครูชาวต่างชาติในโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษา เขตจังหวัดชลบุรี

Abstract

งานวิจัยเรื่อง “การปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมของครูชาวต่างชาติในโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษา เขตจังหวัดชลบุรี” มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ 1) เปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล (เพศ อายุ ภูมิหลังทางวัฒนธรรม ระยะเวลาที่อาศัยในประเทศไทย) กับการปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมของครูชาวต่างชาติ และ 2) วิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ในองค์กรกับการปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมของครูชาวต่างชาติ โดยมีสมมติฐาน 2 ข้อ ได้แก่ สมมติฐานที่ 1 ครูชาวต่างชาติที่มีปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล (เพศ อายุ ภูมิหลังทางวัฒนธรรม ระยะเวลาที่อาศัยในประเทศไทย) ที่ต่างกัน มีการปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมแตกต่างกัน และ สมมติฐานที่ 2 การมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ในองค์กรมีความสัมพันธ์กับการปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรม (ด้านส่วนตัว ด้านสังคม และโดยรวม) ของครูชาวต่างชาติ ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research Methodology) รูปแบบการสำรวจ (Survey research) เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถาม (Questionnaire) และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive Statistics) ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ (Frequency) ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) และสถิติเชิงอ้างอิง (Inferential Statistics) ในการทดสอบสมมติฐาน ได้แก่ t-test, One-Way ANOVA และการวิเคราะห์ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน (Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient)ผลการศึกษาพบว่า สมมติฐานที่ 1 ยอมรับสมมติฐานการวิจัยเป็นบางส่วน กล่าวคือ ครูชาวต่างชาติที่มีปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลด้านภูมิหลังทางวัฒนธรรมที่ต่างกันมีการปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมแตกต่างกัน ส่วนเพศ อายุ และระยะเวลาที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทย ที่ต่างกัน มีการปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 และสมมติฐานที่ 2 ยอมรับสมมติฐานการวิจัย การมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ในองค์กรมีความสัมพันธ์กับการปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรม (ด้านส่วนตัว ด้านสังคม และโดยรวม) ของครูชาวต่างชาติในเชิงบวก กล่าวคือ ถ้าครูชาวต่างชาติมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ในองค์กรในระดับมากจะทำให้การปรับตัวข้ามวัฒนธรรมได้ในระดับสูงตามไปด้วย

This study is entitled "Cross-Cultural Adaptation of Foreign Teachers Teaching in Secondary Schools of Chonburi Province". The objectives of this thesis were: 1) to compare the foreign teachers’ differences regarding their personal factors (gender, age, cultural background, period of residence in Thailand) with cross-cultural adaptation; and 2) to analyze the relation of the foreign teachers’ interaction in the organization and cross-cultural adaptation. This thesis mainly contained two assumptions: 1) Foreign teachers with different personal factors have different cross-cultural adaptations; and 2) the interaction in the organization is related to cross-cultural adaptation (personal, social, and overall factor) of foreign teachers. The methodology of this thesis was the quantitative research method. The survey was conducted using questionnaires that were analyzed by descriptive statistics (composed of frequency, percentage) and inferential statistics which used the t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. The analyzed results of this thesis found the following: 1. Foreign teachers regarding their different cultural background had a different cross-cultural adaptation, while the differences in gender, age, and period of residence in Thailand did not differ in cross-cultural adaptation significantly at the 0.05 level; 2. The interaction in the organization positively related to the foreign teachers’ cross-cultural adaptation in terms of personal, social, and overall factor. It was found that the rate of cross-cultural adaptation increased highly based on the amount of interaction in organization.
