Title
A Forgotten Inscription on the Narrative Study of Buddhist Transmissions in Boṅgabhūmi: From the Buddha’s Time to the Modern Period
Despite the long history of Buddhist glory in the Bengal region, there are few scholars who have paid much attention to scrutinizing extensive research on Buddhism in Boṅgabhūmi. This research paper explores a narrative historical account of Buddhist transmission in Boṅgabhūmi, from its inception to the present day. In demonstrating a clear scenario of the growth of Buddhism in Boṅgabhūmi, this research delves into crucial Buddhist figures, benefactors, and scriptures and how they have contributed to the spread of Buddhism in the Bengal Delta from the past to the present. As this study demonstrates, the Buddha’s teachings have touched the hearts of the seekers of the truth in the region of Boṅgabhūmi from the time of the Buddha (approximately 2600 years ago) to the modern period.
