The study and design of a data-governance-based data usage service level agreement trust model for cloud computing platform : a case study of an export manufacturing company

Abstract

Cloud Computing plays a role in business organizations that provide continuously business operations. The data usage of important and confidential business information on cloud computing where the data is located by the cloud service provider needs to have good data governance. In addition, the appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLA) is needed for the trust model approach to ensure trust and reliability. The purpose of this research was to study and design that used trust calculation process as the tools to represent the knowledge in the trust model in aspect of service level agreements (SLA) data governance for data usage on cloud computing. The parameters in trust value are defined as 4 main topics, including performance, data security, data management and personal data protection. In addition, the weight of each parameter obtained from opinions with experts was involved in an export manufacturing company. The examples of implementation case studies from designed model, that results of trust value in 0.71 and 0.69 could be used to consider cloud service providers selection.

Cloud Computing มีบทบาทต่อองค์กรธุรกิจที่จำเป็นต้องมีระบบ DR-Site (Disaster Recovery Site Solution) ซึ่งมีการดำเนินการกิจการที่ต่อเนื่อง ลดความสูญเสียโอกาสทางธุรกิจ แต่เนื่องจากการนำข้อมูลสำคัญและเป็นความลับขององค์กรธุรกิจไปใช้งานบน Cloud Computing ที่ข้อมูลจะอยู่ที่ผู้ให้บริการ Cloud จำเป็นต้องมีการกำกับดูแลข้อมูล (Data Governance) ที่ดี โดย Service Level Agreements (SLA) ที่เหมาะสมจึงจำเป็นที่จะต้องใช้แนวทาง Trust Model เพื่อให้เกิดความไว้ใจและเชื่อถือได้ทั้งผู้ใช้บริการและผู้ให้บริการ ดังนั้นสมควรที่จะต้องให้ความสำคัญและมีการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ในงานวิจัยเรื่องนี้อย่างจริงจัง จึงเป็นที่มาของจุดประสงค์ของงานวิจัยนี้ คือ เพื่อศึกษาและออกแบบโมเดลการทำ Service Level Agreements (SLA) รูปแบบ Trust Model ในมุมของการกำกับดูแลข้อมูล (Data Governance) สำหรับการนำข้อมูลไปใช้งานบน Cloud Computing จากตัวอย่างกรณีศึกษาการนำไปใช้งานได้ผลลัพธ์เป็น 0.71 และ 0.69 ซึ่งสามารถนำไปใช้พิจารณาในการตัดสินเลือกใช้งานผู้ให้บริการ Cloud Computing ได้
