การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์หลักจริยธรรมที่ปรากฏในวรรณกรรมบทเพลงครูไพบูลย์ บุตรขัน โดยมุ่งเน้นศึกษาเฉพาะบทร้องที่มีเนื้อหา และความหมายอันเกี่ยวข้องในเชิงจริยธรรม ช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2515-2490 เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยศึกษาค้นคว้าและรวบรวมข้อมูลจากแหล่งปฐมภูมิ ได้แก่ วรรณกรรมบทเพลงครูไพบูลย์ บุตรขัน และ แหล่งทุติยภูมิ ได้แก่ หนังสือ เอกสารวิชาการ วารสาร และ งานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยผู้วิจัยได้รวบรวมข้อมูลมาเรียบเรียงวิเคราะห์ และอภิปรายผล เป็นการนำเสนอข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนา ผลการวิจัยครัังนี้พบว่า วรรณกรรมบทเพลง ครูไพบูลย์ บุตรขัน สามารถจำแนกหลักจริยธรรมออกได้ 3 หลัก ได้แก่ 1) หลักจริยธรรมส่วนบุคคล 2) หลักจริยธรรมส่วนรวม 3) หลักจริยธรรมในวิชาชีพ เนื้อหาสาระของจริยธรรมในวรรณกรรมบทเพลง ครูไพบูลย์ บุตรขัน กล่าวนึง ความสันโดษ ความซื่อสัตย์ ความกตัญญู ความเป็นอนิจจังของชีวิต การประพฤติตนเป็นคนดี การเคารพบูชาบุคคลที่ควรบูชา ความรักชาติ ศาสนา พระมหากษัตริย์ วรรณกรรมบทเพลงครูไพบูลย์ บุตรขัน นอกจากให้ความสนุกสนาน เพลิดเพลินแก่ผู้ฟังแล้ว ยังมีเนื้อหาสาระที่ขัดเกลาจิตใจของผู้ฟังเพลงให้ทำความดีต่อตนเอง และผู้อื่นพร้อมทั้งมีความไพเราะ เป็นเอกลักษณ์ ใช้ภาษาสละสลวย โดยวรรณกรรมบทเพลงแบ่งออกได้หลายประเภท เช่น วิถีชีวิตของคนชนบท ความงดงามของธรรมชาติขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณี ตลอดจนเหตุการณ์บ้านเมือง เศรษฐกิจ และสังคม เป็นบทเพลงที่ประพันธ์ขึ้นทันเหตุการณ์ยุคสมัยนั้น ๆ มีคุณค่า คนยังนิยมฟัง และหลากหลายบทเพลงสามารถนำมาเป็นแบบอย่างแนวจริยธรรมในการดำเนินชีวิตสามารถใช้บทเพลงเป็นสื่อสำคัญในการเผยแพร่แนวคิด มีคติสอนใจ พร้อมทั้งได้รับความบันเทิงควบคู่กันไปด้วย
The objective of this study was to analyze the ethics in Piboon Budkhun's music. This study placed particular emphasis on lyrics and ethical interpretation of the songs. These songs were between 2490 - 2515 B.E. This research showed that ethics in Piboon Budkhun's music can be divided into three categories i.e. 1) Personal Ethics, 2) Ethics for the Public, and 3) Professional Ethics. These ethical principles of music showed seclusion, loyalty, gratitude, nature of life, good behavior, respecting a good person, and admiration of one's, nation, religion, and king. The Piboon Budkhun's music were particularly merry songs, and like beautiful poems. Piboon Budkhun included great many stories about the ethical behavior of society to show listeners, and they contained teachings about the ethics of people and others. Some of these included the life of rural people, a beautiful nature, tradition, the past events of society, economy and social. Piboon Budkhun's music were songs of the past events which had value, and these songs were popular to listeners. Many songs had ethical teachings which can be applied in real life. For those who will listen and enjoy his songs, they will also gain practical moral principle, and also enjoy for entertainment.
