การแปรศัพท์ภาษายอง จังหวัดลำพูน ตามตัวแปรอายุ

Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะการแปรรูปศัพท์และรูปแบบการใช้ศัพท์ในภาษายองของผู้บอกภาษาสามระดับอายุในจังหวัดลำพูน โดยได้กำหนดจุดเก็บข้อมูลทั้งสิ้น 7 จุดและใช้หน่วยอรรถจำนวน 30 หน่วยอรรถซึ่งมีรูปศัพท์ต่างจากภาษาไทยถิ่นเหนือและภาษาไทยถิ่นกลาง ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ลักษณะการแปรรูปศัพท์ภาษายองมีความแตกต่างกันใน 2 ประเด็นคือ 1) ความต่างในประเด็นการใช้ศัพท์คนละศัพท์พบ 4 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ 1.1) การนำศัพท์ที่มีความหมายใกล้เคียงกันมาใช้แทน 1.2) การยืมศัพท์จากภาษาไทยถิ่นอื่น 1.3) การนำศัพท์ที่เป็นความหมายทั่วไปมาใช้แทน และ 1.4) การสร้างศัพท์ใหม่ โดยลักษณะที่พบมากที่สุดคือ การยืมศัพท์จากภาษาไทยถิ่นอื่น และ 2) ความต่างในประเด็นการใช้ศัพท์เดียวกันพบการแปรรูปศัพท์ 2 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ 2.1) การละพยางค์ และ 2.2) การเพิ่มพยางค์โดยลักษณะที่พบมากที่สุดคือ การละพยางค์รูปแบบการใช้ศัพท์ภาษายองของผู้บอกภาษาสามระดับอายุ พบทั้งสิ้น 5 รูปแบบ สามารถแบ่งได้เป็น 3 ลักษณะใหญ่ ๆ ได้แก่ 1) ศัพท์ที่ผู้บอกภาษาทั้งสามระดับอายุใช้เหมือนกัน 2) ศัพท์ที่ผู้บอกภาษาสองระดับอายุใช้เหมือนกัน และ 3) ศัพท์ที่ผู้บอกภาษาทั้งสามระดับอายุใช้ต่างกัน โดยผู้บอกภาษาระดับอายุที่ 1 มีความถี่ในการใช้ศัพท์ภาษายองมากที่สุด ผู้บอกภาษาระดับอายุที่ 3 มีความถี่ในการใช้ศัพท์ภาษาไทยถิ่นอื่นมากที่สุด และ ผู้บอกภาษาระดับอายุที่ 2 มีความถี่ในการใช้ศัพท์ภาษายองร่วมกับศัพท์ภาษาไทยถิ่นอื่นมากที่สุด นอกจากนี้การใช้ศัพท์ภาษายองเก่าในผู้บอกภาษาระดับอายุที่ 1 กับ 3 มีการใช้ศัพท์ต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 ในขณะที่การใช้ศัพท์ภาษายองเก่าในผู้บอกภาษาระดับอายุที่ 1 กับ 2 และ ระดับอายุที่ 2 กับ 3 ไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน

This research aimed to study the characteristics of lexical variations and the forms of lexical usage variations in Yong language among the informants in 3 different age groups in the 7 districts of Lamphun Province. There were 7 data collection points and 30 semantic units that are specific to Yong language which are used differently from Northern Thai and Central Thai dialects. It was found that the characteristics of lexical variations had differences in 2 issues: 1) The variations from the use of different words. The form of lexical variations that was found the most was the use of words from other Thai dialects, followed by the use of words with close definition, the use of words with general definition, and new word formation respectively. 2) The variations from the use of similar words. There were 2 forms of lexical variations found which were syllable deletion and addition. The most found form of the lexical variations was syllable deletion. There were 5 forms of the uses of Yong lexical usage in the informants of the three age groups and was divided into 3 major characteristics which were 1) the words that were used similarly in all three age groups 2) the words that were used similarly in two age groups, and 3) the words that were used differently in all three age groups. The age group 1 used Yong lexical the most while the age group 3 used other lexical more than those 2 age groups and the age group 2 used Yong lexical along with the other lexical. The use of Yong words in age group 1 and 3 was different with statistical significance of 0.05, whereas the use of Yong words between age group 1 and 2 and between 2 and 3 had no difference.
