Computer vision (CV), a computer system that has a high level of understanding, can analyze and process information from digital media such as images or videos. So far, CV has been developed to replicate human vision ability, processing given data, analyzing them, and retrieving complex information that humans could not achieve with their unaided eyes, leading to various innovations. The ability of a CV is so powerful and adequate to the extent that it has been applied to several areas of a career. One of the areas CV has been applied is sports. To develop an athlete to be better, an accurate measurement of their skill and performance is important. However, activities like sports involve dynamic actions that are difficult to be accurately observed with only human bare eyes. There are problems when developing sports training tools. First, the Inaccuracy of data gathering due to the difficulty of observing fast movements. Second, some of the existing tools with CVs required were developed to be used on a stationary computer, which may cause inconvenience when people would like to do their experiments outdoors. Hence, this project aims to create an application for a mobile device to assist in analyzing sports movements outdoors, with high accuracy using the power of computer vision. The application will be focusing on running biomechanics including 1) Displacement of the center of mass 2) Trunk lean 3) Tibia angle at loading response. The expected result is the application can assist sports coaches in observing their athlete performance result. IMPLICATION OF THEMATIC PAPER: For the result of the study, the project proposes a mobile application for sport movement analysis focusing on running which helps coaches and athletes in analyzing their posture using computer vision.en
