Graduate voice recital

Abstract

The objectives of this Graduate Voice Recital are (1) to organise a professional voice recital from planning to execution, and (2) to execute a memorable performance that displays proficient vocalism, individual music interpretation, and expression. The musical selections included in this program were selected from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and long Twentieth Century periods, with an emphasis on modern art song. The Graduate Voice Recital was given at the Music Auditorium, College of Music, Mahidol University, on August 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm. The program consisted of the following aria/songs: 1. Aria: Ei, wie schmeckt der Coffee susse from Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht (Coffee Cantata) by Johann Sebastian Bach 2. Hymns: Stabat Mater Dolorosa, Cujus Animam, and Quae Moerebat from Stabat Mater by Luigi Boccherini 3. Canzonetti: La Promessa and L'Invito from Soirees Musicales by Gioachino Rossini 4. Melodies: Le Paon and Le Cygne from Les Histoires Naturelles by Maurice Ravel 5. Songs: Four Songs, Op. 13 by Samuel Barber 6. Lieder: Sieben Fruhe Lieder by Alban Berg The recital lasted approximately 60 minutes without intermission
