Graduate trombone recital

Abstract

The objective of this graduate trombone recital is to learn how to organize a professional recital and to develop sufficient performance ability. The musical repertoire in this recital was selected from the 20th Century, a period that requires a variety of highly technical skills and the ability of a professional trombonist to express musical style, rhythm, and tone colors. The trombone recital was given at the Music Auditorium of the College of Music, Mahidol University on December 14, 2015. The program consisted of 4 pieces: 1. Sonatina for Trombone or Tuba and Piano by Halsey Stevens 2. Concertino for Bass Trombone and Trombone Choir by Eric Ewazen 3. Concertino Basso for Bass Trombone and Concert Band by Richard Lieb 4. subZero Concerto for Bass Trombone and Orchestra by Daniel Schnyder The concert lasted approximately 50 minutes, without intermission.;
