Abstract
Construction is a source of claims and problems because of its nature. A construction-related claim is expected to arise in terms of number and expense. This study aims to identify the problems that arise from claim management procedures faced by contractor companies as well as the causes of claims found in managing Thai public construction projects. To identify and rank the problems and causes of claims, a questionnaire survey was conducted with experts who have experience with claim management. The outcomes of this research highlighted the most significant issues that happen in the claim management process, as well as the most common claim causes in Thai public construction projects.
