ทำนองสวดเบิกในประเพณียี่เป็ง จังหวัดลำปาง

Abstract

สวดเบิก คือการสวดประเภทหนึ่งของชาวล้านนา มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักในการสวดเพื่อสมโภช พระพุทธรูป ในจังหวัดลำปางมีประเพณีการสวดเบิกครั้งสำคัญที่สุดในรอบปีซึ่งสืบทอดกันมาตั้งแต่ โบราณกาลคือการสวดเบิกในประเพณียี่เป็ง การสวดครั้งนี้เป็นการรวมเอาคณะพระนักสวดจากวัด ต่างๆในจังหวัดลำปางเป็นจำนวนทั้งหมด 9 วัดโดยใช้วัดพระธาตุลำปางหลวงเป็นสถานที่หลักในการ ประกอบพิธีกรรม วัดทั้ง 9 จะสวดเบิกวัดละ 1 วารโดยสวดกันจนถึงรุ่งเช้า ท่วงทำนองสวดเบิกของแต่ ละวัดต่างมีความไพเราะในแบบฉบับของตนเอง วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา บริบททางสังคมวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งลักษณะทำนองของการสวดเบิกในประเพณียี่เป็ง จังหวัดลำปาง ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การสวดเบิกของพระนักสวดในจังหวัดลำปางจะมีการใช้ไม้เบิกเพื่อควบคุม จังหวะท่วงทำนองให้มีความพร้อมเพรียงกัน วัดทั้ง 9 มีวิธีการเสริมสร้างความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ให้กับ ทำนองสวดในรูปแบบต่างๆ ได้แก่ การเอื้อนเสียง , การยืดเสียง , การสั่นเสียง , การร้องเลียนเสียงไก่ ขัน ลักษณะทำนองสวดเบิกพบว่ามีการใช้กลุ่มเสียง 5 , 6 , 8 เสียง โดยกลุ่มเสียง 5 เสียงนั้นนิยมใช้มาก ที่สุด พิสัยของเสียงมักอยู่ในขั้นคู่ 8 เพอร์เฟค เสียงหลักของแนวทำนองนิยมใช้ 4 -- 5 เสียง ลักษณะ ทิศทางการดำเนินทำนองนิยมเคลื่อนไปแบบตามขั้นและแทรกด้วยการกระโดดข้ามขั้นเป็นคู่ 3 เมเจอร์ , 3 ไมเนอร์ 4 -- 5 เพอร์เฟค การประดับทำนองนิยมใช้เทคนิคสะบัดเสียง สั่นเสียง รวมถึงการใช้ กระสวนจังหวะเป็นช่วงสั้นๆและแนวทำนองนิยมผันไปตามสำเนียงของการสวดแบบล้านนาซึ่งมัก ออกเสียงตรงกับวรรณยุกต์จัตวาเป็นหลัก ทั้งหมดที่ปรากฏนี้ส่งผลให้แนวทำนองสวดเบิกในประเพณี ยี่เป็งจังหวัดลำปางมีความกลมกลืน ลงตัวในแบบล้านนาและสามารถเข้าถึงผู้ฟังได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ

Suad Berk is one of the traditional chants of Lanna, and is generally done in celebration of the Buddha image. The greatest Suad Berk event in Lampang province each year is the Yeepeng festival, which is a ritual that has been passed on for several generations. The objective of this research was to explore the socio-cultural aspects of the Yeepeng Festival of Lampang Province as well as the typical chant melodies. The study found that, suad berk in Lampang relies on the rhythm that is controlled through the use of mai berk as the percussive instrument. Monks from each temples have specific ways to express their characteristic chant melodies, such as portamento and imitating rooster calls. The melody lines are found to be in pentatonic, hexatonic, and diatonic scales, with the first one being the most popular of the three. The range is usually within the eighth interval. Structural pitches are found to commonly use 4 - 5 notes. The melodic shape and melodic direction is usually in conjunct motion, with disjunct motion is third intervals in major scale, third intervals in minor scale, and fourth and fifth perfect intervals. Ornamentation usually utilizes vibrato and grace note techniques and incorporates short rhythmic patterns. The melodic lines are often allotted to traditional Lanna chants, which use chatawa tone or the rising tone to a great degree
