ความวิตกกังวลในการรับบริการทันตกรรมของผู้ใหญ่ตอนต้น ในอำเภอวัดเพลง จังหวัดราชบุรี

Abstract

ความวิตกกังวลในการรับบริการทันตกรรมเป็นสาเหตุหนึ่งที่ทำให้ผู้ป่วยไม่มารับบริการทันตกรรม การรักษาที่ล่าช้าส่งผลให้มีการลุกลามของโรคในช่องปาก การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจแบบภาคตัดขวางนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความวิตกกังวลในการรับบริการทันตกรรมและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง ตัวอย่างเป็นผู้ใหญ่ตอนต้นอายุ 25 - 35 ปี จำนวน 225 คน อาศัยในอำเภอวัดเพลง จังหวัดราชบุรี การเก็บข้อมูลใช้แบบสอบถามให้เลือกตอบด้วยตนเอง การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติไคสแควร์ กำหนดระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่น้อยกว่า 0.05 ผลการศึกษาพบว่าตัวอย่างร้อยละ 48.44 มีความวิตกกังวลในการรับบริการทันตกรรมระดับปานกลาง รองลงมาระดับสูง สูงมาก และต่ำ คิดเป็นร้อยละ 28.89, 13.33 และ 9.33 ตามลำดับ ทั้งนี้คุณลักษณะของผู้ใหญ่ตอนต้นที่มีแนวโน้มว่าจะมีความวิตกกังวลในระดับสูงถึงสูงมากคือ เพศหญิง ผู้ที่มีอายุ 33–35 ปี ผู้ที่ประกอบอาชีพอิสระ ผู้ที่มีรายได้ 10,000 บาท หรือต่ำกว่า และผู้ที่มีความรู้การดูแลสุขภาพช่องปากในระดับน้อย โดยพฤติกรรมของทันตบุคลากรในห้องทำฟันเป็นประเด็นที่ทำให้มีความวิตกกังวลในการรับบริการทันตกรรม การนำผลของสารนิพนธ์ไปใช้: หน่วยบริการสาธารณสุขแนะนำจัดทำกิจกรรมเชิงรุกในการให้ความรู้การดูแลสุขภาพช่องปากกับประชาชนผ่านช่องทางต่าง ๆ ทำคลิปให้ความรู้ คลิปแนะนำห้องฟัน และขั้นตอนการทำงานของทันตบุคลากร ผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ เช่น กลุ่มไลน์ ติ๊กต็อก เฟซบุ๊ก มีการเฝ้าระวังภาวะสุขภาพช่องปากในกลุ่มที่มีรายได้น้อย ที่ประกอบอาชีพอิสระ ในการให้บริการทันตกรรม ทันตบุคลากรควรต้องแจ้งกับผู้รับบริการก่อนการทำหัตถการทุกครั้งและในระหว่างที่นั่งรอคอยบนเตียงทำฟันด้วยคำสุภาพ ไม่ควรคุยเล่นหยอกล้อกัน เพื่อลดความกังวลใจในขณะรอรับบริการ

Anxiety regarding dental services was one reason patients do not seek services and can result in delayed healing with the progression of oral diseases. This cross-sectional survey research aimed to study the anxiety in receiving dental services and related factors. The sample size totaled 225 early adulthood aged 25-35 years living in Wat Phleng District, Ratchaburi. Data were collected by questionnaire. The descriptive and Chi-square statistics were applied to analyze data. The level of statistical significance was set at p-value less than 0.05.The crucial findings revealed that 48.44% experienced moderate anxiety in seeking dental services, and 28.89, 13.33 and 9.33% had high, very high, and low anxiety, respectively. The behavior of dental personnel in the dental treatment room was an issue that caused concern in receiving dental services. The groups most likely to experience high levels of anxiety comprised females, those aged 33-35, self-employed with incomes of 10,000 THB or less and low levels of oral health care knowledge. Implication of this Thematic Paper: Public health services should be proactive in educating people concerning on oral health care using various channels, producing video clip to educate, dental room and providing dental room and procedure of dentistry. Through social media such as LINE, TikTok and Facebook. A surveillance can be conducted of oral health in low-income groups, self-by those employed in dental services. Dental personnel should be polite to inform the patient before initiating procedures and during the waiting time on the dental bed. They should avoid talking or tease each other, to anxiety while waiting for services.
