A study of the baby schema cute dog image feature impact on work relaxation

Abstract

Presently, mental health problems affect public health and tend to increase. The most common mental health problem is stress. The causes of stress can occur at all ages and for many reasons. This affects both physical health and mental and behavioral health. Thus, preventing the impact of stress, coping, and management is important. A previous study found that viewing cute animals or cute images are other ways to create positive feelings. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to create a model of cuteness features of the dog images according to the baby schema theory. The model will be used to create images with cuteness features for each demographic group. This study focuses on Master's students (special program) during the academic years 2020 - 2021 from Mahidol University. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and five predictive methods, which are the Generalized Linear Model, Logistic Regression, Deep learning, Decision tree, and Gradient Boosted Trees, were compared for finding the highest performance and model results suitable for each demographic group. The results showed that the Gradient Boosted Trees was the best algorithm to predict a model, and nine models that were most likely to increase relaxation or reduce stress levels for each demographic group. The results lead to synthesize background images for desktops, mobile wallpaper, and decor pictures for rooms at the workplace to increase work relaxation or reduce stress levels. IMPLICATION OF THEMATIC PAPER A thematic paper provides knowledge and models of the cuteness features of dog images that are suitable for gender, age, occupation, age of work, working days per week, and type of transportation. The cuteness features models will be used to synthesize background images for desktops, mobile wallpaper, and decor pictures for rooms at the workplace to increase work relaxation or reduce stress levels. ปัจจุบันปัญหาสุขภาพจิตส่งผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพของประชาชนและมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มสูงขึ้น ปัญหาสุขภาพจิตที่พบบ่อยที่สุดคือความเครียด โดยสาเหตุของความเครียดแตกต่างกันไปในแต่ละคน สามารถเกิดขึ้นได้ทุกเพศทุกวัยและหลายสาเหตุ ความเครียดส่งผลต่อทั้งสุขภาพกาย สุขภาพจิต และพฤติกรรม ดังนั้นการจัดการความเครียดจึงเป็นเรื่องสำคัญ การศึกษาก่อนหน้านี้พบว่าการดูสัตว์น่ารักหรือภาพน่ารักเป็นอีกวิธีหนึ่งในการสร้างความรู้สึกดี ๆ ดังนั้นในการศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างแบบจำลองลักษณะความน่ารักของภาพสุนัขตามทฤษฎีเบบี้สกีมา และนำลักษณะความน่ารักไปใช้ในการสังเคราะห์ภาพให้เหมาะสมกับแต่ละกลุ่มประชากร ขอบเขตของการศึกษานี้คือ นักศึกษาปริญญาโท (ภาคพิเศษ) ปีการศึกษาระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2563 - 2564 มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้วิธีสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและวิธีการทำนาย 5 วิธี ได้แก่ วิธีตัวแบบเชิงเส้นนัยทั่วไป, วิธีถดถอยโลจิสติก, วิธีการเรียนรู้เชิงลึก, วิธีต้นไม้ตัดสินใจ และวิธีเกรเดียนท์บูตทรีส์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าวิธีเกรเดียนท์บูตทรีส์เป็นอัลกอริธึมที่ดีที่สุดในการทำนาย และได้แบบจำลอง 9 แบบที่มีแนวโน้มมากที่สุดในการเพิ่มความผ่อนคลายหรือลดระดับความเครียดสำหรับแต่ละกลุ่มประชากร ผลลัพธ์สามารถนำไปสังเคราะห์ภาพพื้นหลังสำหรับเดสก์ท็อป วอลเปเปอร์ หรือภาพตกแต่งสำหรับห้องในที่ทำงานเพื่อเพิ่มความผ่อนคลายในการทำงานหรือลดระดับความเครียด การนำผลของสารนิพนธ์ไปใช้นั้น งานวิจัยนี้จะให้ความรู้และแบบจำลองลักษณะความน่ารักของภาพสุนัขที่เหมาะกับเพศ อายุ อาชีพ อายุงาน วันทำงานต่อสัปดาห์ และวิธีการเดินทาง โดยแบบจำลองลักษณะความน่ารักจะใช้สังเคราะห์ภาพพื้นหลังสำหรับเดสก์ท็อป วอลเปเปอร์มือถือ และรูปภาพตกแต่งห้องในที่ทำงาน เพื่อเพิ่มความผ่อนคลายในการทำงานหรือลดระดับความเครียด
