คุณภาพชีวิตผู้ประสบปัญหาจากโรคเรื้อนในสถานสงเคราะห์สถาบันราชประชาสมาสัย

Abstract

ผู้ป่วยโรคเรื้อนเป็นหนึ่งในกลุ่มบุลคลที่ประสบปัญหาสำคัญในด้านคุณภาพการดำรงชีวิต การศึกษาภาคตัดขวางนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณภาพชีวิตและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับผู้ประสบปัญหาจากโรคเรื้อน ตัวอย่างเป็นผู้ประสบปัญหาจากโรคเรื้อน ที่อาศัยอยู่ในสถานสงเคราะห์ราชประชาสมาสัย จังหวัด สมุทรปราการ จำนวน 124 ราย การคัดเลือกตัวอย่างเป็นไปตามเกณฑ์การคัดเข้า เก็บข้อมูลโดยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์ตามแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติ เชิงอนุมาน ได้แก่ สถิติที และการวิเคราะห์หาสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน กำหนดระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่น้อยกว่า 0.05 ผลการวิจัยพบว่าเกือบร้อยละ 60 ของผู้ประสบปัญหาจากโรคเรื้อน มีคุณภาพชีวิตรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และมีคะแนนร้อยละค่าเฉลี่ย 66.12 โดยคุณภาพชีวิตด้านจิตวิญญาณ ความเชื่อ ศรัทธา มีคะแนนร้อยละเฉลี่ยสูงสุด รองลงมาด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ด้านระดับความอิสระ ด้านจิตใต ด้านความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคม และด้านร่างกาย มีคะแนนร้อยละเฉลี่ย 72.33, 68.02, 65.42, 65.32, 63.17 และ 61.34 ตามลำดับ ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับคุณภาพชีวิตรวมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ได้แก่ การสนับสนุนทางสังคม (p = 0.001) รายได้ (p < 0.01) การตีตราภายในตนเอง และ อายุ (p < 0.05) จากผลการศึกษาจึงมีข้อเสนอแนะว่า ผู้บริหารสถานสงเคราะห์สถาบันราชประชาสมาสัย ควรให้ความสำคัญต่อการส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ประสบปัญหาจากโรคเรื้อนโดยเฉพาะกับ ผู้ที่สูงอายุตอนปลาย ควรจัดให้มีกิจกรรมร่วมกันของสมาชิกที่อยู่ในสถานสงเคราะห์ เพื่อให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนและช่วยเหลือกันของครอบครัวสมาชิก เสริมศักยภาพและความสัมพันธ์ในการเข้าสังคม เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ประสบปัญหาจากโรคเรื้อน

The people affected by leprosy is one of the groups that had a problem with quality of life (QOL) as long as they live. This cross-sectional study aimed to examine the QOL and related factors among people affected by leprosy. The sample was 124 people who were affected by leprosy in Raj Pracha Samasai Institute, Samut Prakan Province. Data collection was done through interviews and a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics: independent samples t-test and Pearson's product moment correlation. The statistical significance level is less than 0.05. The results showed that almost 60 percent of people affected by leprosy had an overall QOL at a moderate level and a percentage-mean score of 66.12. In addition, the percentage-mean scores of QOL for each dimension showed that the score in the spiritual dimension was higher than the environmental, level of independent, psychological, social relations, and physical dimensions (72.33, 68.02, 65.42, 65.32, 63.17, and 61.34 respectively). Factors that correlated to the overall QOL were the social support (p = 0.001), income (p < 0.01) internalized stigma, and age (p < 0.05). The finding led to recommendations that the executives of Raj Pracha Samasai Institute should be concerned and promote the QOL of members who are affected by leprosy in a shelter especially the older people. There are social activities among members in a shelter for sharing and supporting between them including enhancing their social potential and relationship to improve their QOL level
