Abstract
In this paper, the author examines the intersection of digital technology and intergenerational relations in Asia and the Pacific, focusing on the “grey digital divide”, which affects older persons disproportionately. As the digital transformation and demographic shifts reshape societies, fostering intergenerational solidarity through inclusive digital policies is essential. Highlighting good practices, barriers to digital inclusion are examined, and targeted recommendations to bridge the gap are offered. Promoting lifelong learning, reducing age-based discrimination and empowering older persons to use digital tools are key strategies towards building cohesive, resilient societies that support people of all ages.
