Title
Cyclospora infection in healthy boy at Thai-Myanmar border
Abstract
We report a case of a healthy boy, from the Thai-Myanmar border, infected with Cycolspora. Stool concentration and modified acid-fast stain were performed. Round organisms, size 7-8 um, pink color, compatible with unpopulated Cyclospora oocysts were found. Cyclospora infection can be found in both competent and immunocompromised hosts, with less severe symptoms in the former group. Good personal hygiene and sanitation are important for preventing transmission of this infection.
