The development of interactive patient card application : a case study of Mahachai 2 Hospital

Abstract

This research aimed to develop an interactive patient card application to be used in browsing the patient history online for Mahachai 2 Hospital. The number of hospital patients has increased and this has affected the process of sending files of the patient's history to the doctor. This has slowed down the process forcing the doctors to wait longer. This research developed an information technology tool to let doctors or the hospital staff to view profiles of the patients immediately without delay and could also help them view the history of all past treatment. Data was collected from multiple sources using a data warehouse technology, such as x-ray result, lab result, drug order, to mention but a few. It was difficult for the doctor to analyze data from multiple sources at the same time. Therefore this system was developed to facilitate treatment and the patient diagnosis by the doctors and the hospital staff. The modules were outpatient treatment history, inpatient treatment history, drug order history, lab in result history, lab out result history, x-ray result history and the EKG result history. As a result of the operation, the development of the patient history online helped doctors and hospital staff to get information faster and was more responsive to the needs of the users. The average level was good after assessing the quality system. The most satisfactory module was the lab in result history because data could be viewed as graphs, which made it easy to analyze the patient symptoms for the treatment. Overall, the patient history online system could be beneficial for the users and those who receive the services at Mahachai 2 Hospital. This tool use could be on the smartphone or tablet.

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาระบบดูแฟ้มประวัติผู้ป่วยแบบออนไลน์สำหรับโรงพยาบาล มหาชัย 2 เนื่องจากปัจจุบันจำนวนคนไข้ในโรงพยาบาลมีปริมาณที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น ส่งผลให้กระบวนการทำงานในการส่งแฟ้มประวัติให้แพทย์ช้าลงทำให้ผู้ป่วยรอแพทย์ตรวจใช้เวลานานกว่าจะเข้าพบแพทย์ งานวิจัยนี้จึงได้นำเครื่องมือเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศมาพัฒนาเพื่อให้แพทย์หรือเจ้าหน้าที่ของโรงพยาบาลสามารถเรียกดูแฟ้มประวัติของผู้ป่วยได้ทันทีโดยไม่ต้องรอแฟ้มจากแผนกเวชระเบียน ทั้งยังสามารถดูประวัติการรักษาย้อนหลังได้ ซึ่งข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์เพื่อการรักษานั้น ต้องอาศัยข้อมูลจากหลายแหล่งมารวมกันโดยการนำเทคโนโลยีคลังข้อมูลมาใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูล ซึ่งข้อมูลที่นำมาเก็บไว้ เช่น ข้อมูลผล X-RAY, ข้อมูลผล LAB, ข้อมูลการรับยา ฯลฯ ซึ่งยากกับแพทย์ที่ต้องนำข้อมูลจากหลายแหล่งเพื่อวิเคราะห์พร้อม ๆ กันในเวลาเดียวกัน ระบบนี้จึงได้พัฒนาเพื่อเพิ่มความ สะดวกให้กับแพทย์และเจ้าหน้าที่โรงพยาบาลในการรักษาและวิเคราะห์อาการของผู้ป่วย โดยมีโมดูลในการทำงานดังนี้คือ ประวัติการรักษาผู้ป่วยนอก, ประวัติการรักษาผู้ป่วยใน, ประวัติการรับยา, ประวัติผล LAB ใน, ประวัติผล LAB นอก, ประวัติผล X-RAY, ประวัติผล EKG ผลการดำเนินงานพบว่า จากการพัฒนาระบบดูแฟ้มประวัติผู้ป่วยแบบออนไลน์ขึ้นมาช่วยให้แพทย์และเจ้าหน้าที่ของโรงพยาบาลได้รับข้อมูลที่รวดเร็วขึ้นและตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้ใช้งาน จากการประเมินคุณภาพระบบมีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับที่ดี โดยโมดูลที่แพทย์และเจ้าหน้าที่ของโรงพยาบาลมีความพึงพอใจมากที่สุด คือ ประวัติผล LAB ใน เพราะว่าสามารถดูผลเป็นกราฟได้ ง่ายต่อการวิเคราะห์เพื่อรักษาผู้ป่วย โดยรวมแล้วระบบดูแฟ้มประวัติผู้ป่วยแบบออนไลน์นั้นมีประโยชน์ทั้งผู้ใช้งานและผู้ที่มา รับบริการที่โรงพยาบาลมหาชัย 2 ทั้งด้านการรักษาและความรวดเร็ว ส่วนข้อเสนอสำหรับระบบนั้นทางบุคลากรของโรงพยาบาล ต้องการให้สามารถใช้งานได้บนสมาร์ทโฟนหรืออุปกรณ์แท็บเล็ตเพื่อความสะดวกและรวดเร็วมากยิ่งขึ้น
