dc.description.abstractHealth is considered as major problems of Thai people for the sack of inadequate health-care services and limitation of physicians and paramedical personnel, so time to interact between health personnel and patient is limited and many of informations is transfer to patient via prescription media. This study is to verify factors and problems of prescription label in OPD case using cross-sectional survery research tool, a total number of 320 patients was studied by means of questionnaires. Data analysis was done by using descriptive statistics, chi-square, Spearman Rank Correlation or Pearson Product Moment Correlation test, adjusted on the orderliness of variable. The result revealed that the majority of patients (69%) had fair level of knowledge of using drug and 63% of patients had fair level of compliance of using drug. The factors significantly related to knowledge were occupation, marital status, age, income and education. The factors significantly related to compliance were drug characteristics, packaging and way of stimulation. Eighty seven percent of patients claimed to have drug counseling unit which consume time about 10 minutes per person, simultaneously with hand-book of drug usuage. In conclusion, it is recommended that patients should receive more health education which may be individual or group participation approach at drug counseling unit. Evaluation of patient compliance should be assessed by interviewing relatives, regularly Pill-count, self report etc. To achieve destination in drug counseling service, pharmacist should be trained and practiced the method of counseling to make patient compliance successfulness ultimately.en_US
